Dearest Interwebbers,
Only basically like sort of 5 days. If you don't count today though it's 4. and if you don't count the 5th its 3. So like yep, 3 days. I'm really ready for it. I want to get out there and do the do! I don't speak hardly any Spanish but that's okay. I don't know how to missionary but that's okay. I don't know if any of my electrical stuff will even work in Peru but that's okay. C'est la vie! I mean Eso si que es. I think.
Real soon this blog will actually have stuff that is of importance (maybe, if we're lucky) and stuff about Peru and things that are more interesting than just my thoughts. haha
Until then, 3 days to go.
Love,
Hermana Johnson
ps. fun fact: Peru has roughly 560,000 members de La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Ultimos Dias. How cool is that?!

Dearest Interwebbers,
So I had the best Valentine present. I finally got the real, official call from the office of the Presidency of the Church.
It told me I am going to the Peru Lima Central Mission. LIMA PERU. I leave May 5th of 2015 and will report to the Peru MTC on that date. I will preach the gospel in the Spanish language and man am I so very excited for this.
The whole family and all my friends everywhere are so supportive of this. It's interesting because even those who don't care about the church at all are happy for the decision I've made. Missions are amazing things. I mean I'm not even out in the field yet and I already feel like this is the best decision ever.
I just love this gospel so much and am so excited to share it with the people of Peru and I am excited to serve them in any way that I can. It's going to be wonderful and terrible at the same time but I know that ever struggle will be for a reason and be to help me grow.
Until next time,
Love
Hermana Johnson.
PS. You guys I don't speak Spanish hardly at all!! That will be one of the hardest things at the beginning I'm sure....

Preparation...
Yesterday I finally went in for my interview with the Stake President and it was a good interview indeed! I am on my way to greatness!!! (:
My papers will be sent by Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Then roughly 2-3 weeks after that I will have my call in my hand. Holy cow. It doesn't even seem real. But already this decision is the best I've made thus far in my life.
My experiences in Sheridan helped me grow and prepared me a little for a mission I believe. But I really won't be able to know what is coming until I am actually out there. I also hope I can keep this blog up whilst on the mission. That would be so cool. :D I AM JUST SO EXCITED TO SERVE AND DON'T CARE WHERE I GO! Not much for a first post but if I can keep it up while I'm officially a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, there will be much more to share.
